OVERVIEW

Embark on a breathtaking 9-day journey through the heart of East Africa, exploring the rich biodiversity and iconic landscapes of Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania. This immersive safari blends primate encounters with classic savannah wildlife, offering a rare opportunity to witness gorillas in their misty mountain homes before going on game safari across the legendary plains of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater where you’ll witness the wildebeest migration & African Big Five.

DAY BY DAY ACTIVITIES

Day 1: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park

After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, Rwanda meet with your guide driver shortly after briefing transfer to Kigali genocide museum to pay your last respects for the victims of the 1994 Rwandan genocide against Tutsi and this will be followed by a transfer north-west through lush hills & bustling market towns for approximately 2.5 hours, to the stunning Volcanoes National Park – well known as the venue for Dian Fossey’s pioneering studies of the mountain gorillas.

 Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or Similar.

Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking, Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda – Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla NP, Uganda

An early morning breakfast will be followed by a transfer to Kinigi park headquarters for golden Monkey tracking briefing and then hike up into the rainforest to a troop of golden monkey. Once you find them you’ll allowed to stay with them for an hour and thereafter return to the car park area to reunite with your

driver guide and be transferred to visit the Gorilla Museum at Ellen Degeneras Campus of the Dian Fossey will again be followed with a transfer to Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

 Overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel or Similar.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Tour Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

After an early morning breakfast, transfer to the ranger station for Uganda Gorilla Trekking Briefing on dos and don’ts while you will be interacting with gorillas, afterwards you will be accompanied by a senior ranger guide & hike into the forest in search of gorillas. Once you find them you usually have an hour with them, time to sit and observe them at very close quarters of 10 meters & After the experience transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi – Kalinzu Forest/Chimpanzee Trekking – Mbarara

Following an early morning breakfast transfer to kalinzu Forest and go for chimpanzee trekking on arrival which will be followed with a transfer to Mbarara. Covering an area of 137 square kilometers, Kalinzu Central Forest reserve is characterized by its diverse ecosystem consisting of dense tropical rainforest vegetation and a wide range of wildlife. Overnight at Emburara Farm Lodge.

Day 5:Mbarara, Uganda – Bukoba/Mwanza, Tanzania

An early morning breakfast and then transfer across the Border at Mutukula to Bukoba Tanzania for a 12:55pm flight (40 Minutes) with Tanzania Air to Mwanza. Upon arrival you’ll be picked and transferred to the hotel.

 Overnight at Malaika Beach Resort or Similar.

Day 6: Mwanza/Lake Victoria – Serengeti National Park

Today an early morning and with packed lunch will be followed with a transfer to Serengeti National Park entering through Ndabaka gate.
after about 2 hours drive check-in at the Serengeti National park thereafter do registration and proceed on a game drive. The drive along the Grumeti River giving you an opportunity to watch for the schools of hippos that ‘yawn’ at the surface of the river as well as huge crocodiles and looking for signs of large cats and predators.

 Overnight at Kon Tiki Tented Camp or Similar.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park – Ngongoro Craters

Your adventure continues with an early morning game drive through Serengeti National Park, searching for the great migration. After a delicious lunch, you’ll head back out for more exciting wildlife viewing before making your way to Ngorongoro. You’ll spend the night at a charming lodge perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Central Serengeti, or Seronera, is the heart of Serengeti National Park, known for its stunning savannahs, rolling hills, and the Seronera River. This area offers exceptional wildlife viewing, including predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. It’s a prime spot for witnessing the great migration and offers breathtaking landscapes and iconic kopjes.

 Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge or Similar.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Craters – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for captivating game drives. Once we’ve explored this natural wonder and its abundant wildlife, will be followed with a transfer to lake Manyara National Park. Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s natural wonders. It boasts the largest uninterrupted caldera globally and is home to approximately 30,000 large mammals that reside here year-round. Expect to encounter a wide array of wildlife, including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, rhinos, and numerous bird species such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. This destination offers an incredible opportunity to witness a multitude of animals in a relatively short span of time.

Day 9: Lake Manyara National Park – Kilimanjaro Airport

Depending on your departure time, following an early morning breakfast enjoy a farewell game drive in Lake Manyara National Park and then to be followed by a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport targeting for your outbound flight marking the end of the trip.
