Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala. Drive via Mityana–Mubende to Fort Portal, stopping for lunch and a short town tour. Visit the crater lakes, Toro Palace, and Karambi Tombs before continuing to Kibale Forest.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before your chimpanzee tracking experience. Enjoy observing these playful primates and other species like red colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, and baboons. After lunch, take a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a paradise for bird watchers and nature lovers.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, depart Kibale and travel south to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Enjoy scenic views of tea plantations and rolling hills. Arrive in Buhoma or Rushaga by evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking rules and safety. Begin your hike through dense forest to find one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. Once you meet them, spend one unforgettable hour observing their interactions.
After the trek, return to your lodge for relaxation and dinner.
Day 5: Return to Kampala
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala. Stop in Mbarara for lunch and take photos at the Equator crossing. Arrive in the evening and drop off at your hotel or Entebbe Airport.
