The 10th edition of the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) will take place in May 2026 at Speke Resort and Convention Centre in Munyonyo, Kampala. Organized by Uganda’s Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities in collaboration with key agencies including the Uganda Tourism Board, Uganda Wildlife Authority, and Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre, the expo aims to position Uganda as a leading global tourism destination.
Themed “Wanderlust – It’s Your Time to Thrive” POATE 2026 focused on sustainable practicesand developing business partnerships within the tourism industry. The event features both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) interactions, attracting over 100 international buyers and more than 7000 trade visitors .
The expo also launches the “Wanderlust – It’s Your Time to Thrive” campaign, encouraging Ugandans to share their unique tourism experiences through videos, photos, and written content. This initiative aims to promote domestic tourism and highlight Uganda’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.
