12 Days Uganda Safari – Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda – Welcome to the Pearl of Africa
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where a Muganzi Safaris guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Use the evening to relax, refresh, and prepare for your safari adventure.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park, with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for guided rhino tracking—your first Big Five encounter. Proceed to Masindi for lunch before entering the park for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise on the Nile
Start the day with an early morning game drive across the Nyamsika plateau. Expect sightings of giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, Uganda kobs, elephants, and lions.
Return for breakfast and prepare for an afternoon boat launch on the Nile, offering views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants at the water’s edge, and abundant birdlife— including the shoebill stork.
Optional cultural visit to nearby communities before dinner.
Day 4: Visit the Top of the Falls & Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, visit the dramatic Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gorge, creating a thunderous roar and beautiful misty rainbows.
Begin your scenic transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, famously known as the Primate Capital of the World. Enjoy countryside views, farmlands, and crater lakes en route.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary Walk
After breakfast, head to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing before your exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. Kibale hosts 13 primate species and diverse birdlife.
Return for lunch and later explore Bigodi Wetland, known for monkeys, birds, and vibrant community initiatives.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park + Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Depart Kibale after breakfast and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most popular wildlife destinations.
Upon arrival, enjoy a spectacular boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and diverse bird species.
Check in, freshen up, and enjoy lunch followed by a community walk.

Day 7: Game Drive Through Ishasha & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Begin with a morning game drive in the Ishasha sector, home of the rare tree-climbing lions. Spot Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, and unique bird species.
After lunch, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 8: Bwindi Gorilla Experience – A Once-in-a-Lifetime Encounter
Start your day with an early breakfast and packed lunch. Proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the forest for the most anticipated activity—mountain gorilla trekking.
Spend up to one sacred hour with the gorilla family. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Second Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Kisoro
Enjoy a second day of gorilla trekking, exploring a different gorilla family group. Capture more unforgettable moments before transferring to Kisoro town for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park + Cultural Stop
After breakfast, transfer from Kisoro to Lake Mburo National Park, with a cultural stop at the Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch and an introduction to Ankole traditions.
Enter the park and enjoy views of zebras, impalas, and other wildlife. In the evening, go horseback riding, a unique way to view wildlife up close.

Day 11: Game Drive, Nature Walk & Boat Cruise

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 12: Transfer Back to Kampala / Entebbe – End of Tour
Enjoy breakfast and begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. Stop at the Equator for photos and lunch.
Depending on your travel plans, your guide will transfer you to your hotel or the airport for departure.
