After an early breakfast, we depart for Murchison Falls National Park. En route, we stop at the renowned Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a unforgettable guided trek on foot to track the endangered white rhino. This is your chance to see these prehistoric-looking creatures up close and contribute to their conservation. After lunch, we proceed into the park, heading straight to the Top of the Murchison Falls. Witness the breathtaking spectacle as the world's longest river, the Nile, is forced through a narrow 7-meter gorge and plunges 43 meters with a thunderous roar. We then continue to our lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Fort Murchison Lodge (Mid-range) or similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Game Drives & The Nile Boat Cruise

An early start takes us across the Nile by ferry for a morning game drive in the northern sector of the park. This area is known for its high concentrations of wildlife, including elephants, Rothschild's giraffes, lions, buffalo, and various antelope. With luck, we might even spot a leopard. In the afternoon, we embark on a classic boat cruise on the Victoria Nile towards the Falls. This serene journey is a wildlife bonanza, offering close-up views of large pods of hippos, massive Nile crocodiles, and elephants bathing on the riverbanks. Birders will be delighted by the abundance of species, including the rare Shoebill stork. The cruise culminates at the base of the falls, where you can disembark for a challenging but rewarding hike to the top to meet your driver. Accommodation: Fort Murchison Lodge (Mid-range) or similar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4: To the Lush Highlands of Fort Portal

After a leisurely breakfast, we bid farewell to Murchison Falls and journey south towards the beautiful, tea-growing region of Fort Portal. The drive is incredibly scenic, winding through rural villages and rolling hills with the fabled "Mountains of the Moon," the Rwenzori range, in the distance. We arrive at our lodge in the afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy the cooler climate and stunning views. Accommodation: Kibale Forest Camp (Mid-range) or similar. As you walk through the dense, tropical forest, your guide will help you spot not only chimpanzees but also other primates like red colobus and grey-cheeked mangabeys. In the afternoon, we explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on a guided nature walk. This community-run project is a bird-watcher's paradise and a great place to see other wildlife and learn about local conservation efforts. You may also visit a local tea plantation to learn about this important regional crop.
