Day 1: Scenic Journey to the Misty Mountains

Your adventure begins with an early pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe by your Muganzi Safaris guide. We embark on a spectacular drive southwest, traversing the lush landscapes of Uganda. A key highlight is a stop at the Uganda Equator for the classic photo opportunity. We continue through the rolling, terraced highlands, often called the “Switzerland of Africa,” arriving at the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening. Check into your lodge, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy a delicious dinner as you prepare for tomorrow’s monumental encounter.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Serenity on Lake Bunyonyi

 

This is the day of a lifetime. After an early breakfast and a short drive to the park headquarters, you will receive a comprehensive briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Accompanied by experienced rangers, you will then enter the dense, ancient forest for your gorilla trekking adventure.

The trek is a thrilling journey through vibrant ecosystems. When you find the gorillas, you will spend a privileged one hour observing them—a truly humbling and emotional experience. Watch in awe as they interact, feed, and play in their natural habitat.

After receiving your official trekking certificate, we return to the lodge to freshen up before transferring to the stunning Lake Bunyonyi. Here, you’ll embark on a serene evening boat cruise to explore the lake’s numerous islands as the sun sets behind the surrounding hills. It’s the perfect way to reflect on your incredible day.

Day 3: Scenic Return to Kampala/Entebbe

 

Enjoy a final, leisurely breakfast with breathtaking views over Lake Bunyonyi. We then begin our journey back to Kampala or Entebbe Airport. The drive is long but scenic, and we will stop for a relaxing lunch en route. Your Muganzi Safaris guide will ensure you arrive at the airport in good time for your evening departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Ugandan adventure.
