OVER VIEW OF THE TRIP

Murchison falls national park is the largest and the oldest in Uganda covering an area of 3,893km sq. The park is located in the northern end of the rift valley with over 76 mammals and 451 bird species. It offers a variety of activities like the game drive which gives you an opportunity to encounter a number of animals like buffalos, lions, elephants among others and the afternoon boat cruise which gives you an opportunity to encounter a number of aquatic animals like hippos, crocodiles among others.

Bwindi Impenetrable national park is located in south western Uganda covering an area of 321km sq and over 357 bird species. The park gives you an opportunity to encounter a number of activities like gorilla tracking, birding and nature walk to the falls among others

DAY BY DAY ACTIVITIES:

DAY1: TRANSFER FROM KAMPALA TO MURCHISION

Early in the morning the driver guide will pick you from Kampala where he will be briefing you about the trip.Depart from Kampala to Murchison falls national park via Luwero triangle and have a stopover at Masindi town for lunch as you enter the park via kichumbanyobogate. You will be welcomed by sound singing birds and stubborn baboons and check in to the lodge in the afternoon.

In the evening hike to the top of the falls where you will have stunning and memorable experienceas you see the water Swiss into a 7 meter gorge and 300m3water volume. U will be rewarded with site viewing a number of aquatic animals like hippos, crocodiles. Then return  to the lodge late in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2: GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE

After an early morning breakfast start your day with your hands up and open cameras and then gofor a game drive that will take 3-5 hoursand you will encounter a number of animals like buffalos, elephants, lion’s giraffes, lots of antelopes among others. Return back to the lodge for lunch.

Afternoon have a boat cruise along the river Nile and this gives you the most rewarding and memorable experience where you will encounter a number of aquatic animals like crocodiles, hippos and water birds like the pied king fisher’s, long tailed comrades among others

DAY 3: TRANSFER FROM MURCHISON TO BWINDI

Have an early morning breakfast, and then check out of the lodge as you transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park via Fort Portal. Have a stopover at Kasese town for lunch, and then proceed to Bwindi arriving to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay

DAY 4: GORILLA TRACKING EXPERIENCE

You will have an early morning breakfast and then go to the tracking briefing points as you go for gorilla tracking experience and expect to see animals like baboons, forest elephants and lots of birds. Return back to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay

DAY 5: TRANSFER FROM BWINDI TO KAMPALA

After some good days of much activity, you should be tired and eager to go home with good stories about Uganda (the pearl of Africa). Wake up in the morning have breakfast as you prepare for departure. There will be a stop for lunch at Igongo cultural center in Mbarara. Another stop will be at the equator crossing for photos and refreshment before continuing to Kampala or Entebbe.
