Detailed Itinerary

 

 

Day 1: Arrival, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Chimpanzee Tracking

Your safari begins at Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Kampala, where you will be welcomed by a professional driver-guide who will brief you about the journey ahead.

You will embark on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through rolling hills, bustling trading centers, and picturesque savannah landscapes. On the way, enjoy a lunch stop in Mbarara city, experiencing the local culture and daily life of western Uganda.

Continue along the road to Kyambura Gorge, known for its lush forests and resident chimpanzees. Here, embark on your chimpanzee tracking adventure, observing these intelligent primates in their natural habitat. Along the way, you will also spot numerous bird species, many of which are Rift Valley endemics, providing a paradise for birdwatchers.

After the tracking experience, transfer to your pre-booked lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Transfer Back to Kampala

Start your day with an early breakfast at the lodge before setting out for a morning game drive. Explore different parts of Queen Elizabeth National Park, spotting wildlife such as elephants, gazelles, lions, leopards, antelopes, and warthogs. The game drive includes a visit to the Mweya Peninsula, offering stunning views of the park and its wildlife along the Kazinga Channel.

After the game drive, begin the return journey to Kampala. Stop for lunch in Mbarara or Masaka town and make a final memorable stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe, where you can take photos and purchase unique souvenirs crafted by the local community.

Your safari concludes with a drop-off at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your incredible 2-day adventure.
