Detailed Itinerary
Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet our company representative and transfer to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 1: Mabamba Wetland Birding – Transfer to Kibale Forest
Start your adventure with early morning birding at Mabamba Swamp, one of Uganda’s top birding sites and home to the rare Shoebill Stork. Enjoy a canoe ride among papyrus channels, spotting herons, kingfishers, and weavers.
After lunch, drive west toward Kibale Forest National Park, arriving in time for evening birding along the forest edge.

Day 2: Green-Breasted Pitta Search & Bigodi Wetland
Spend the morning searching for the elusive Green-breasted Pitta and other Kibale specials like the Afep Pigeon and Black Bee-eater. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a hotspot for both birds and primates.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha
Drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha sector, famous for tree-climbing lions, en route to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Evening birding along the Waterfall Trail offers sightings of the Bar-tailed Trogon and Purple-breasted Sunbird.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking – Transfer to Kisoro

Day 5: Full-Day Birding in Mgahinga National Park
