Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel in Kigali or Kigali International Airport by our professional guide. For early arrivals, you can enjoy a short tour of Kigali, including a visit to the Gisozi Genocide Memorial and the local markets, offering insight into Rwanda’s rich history and culture.
Drive northwards through Rwanda’s scenic hilly countryside, enjoying spectacular landscapes and traditional villages along the way. Arrive at Volcanoes National Park in Musanze province (formerly Ruhengeri) and check into your lodge:
Enjoy dinner and overnight stay, preparing for the exciting trek ahead.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Departure
Start your day early with breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing from the rangers. You will then embark on a gorilla trekking adventure guided by experienced rangers.
The hike can vary in duration depending on the gorillas’ location, as these are wild animals moving freely in the forest. Your guide will have a good idea of their whereabouts through communication with other ranger teams already in the jungle.
During the trek, you will be surrounded by the lush bamboo forest and breathtaking scenery. Once you locate the gorillas, you will spend a maximum of one hour observing and photographing these magnificent creatures in their natural environment.
After the trek, descend from the forest and begin the journey back to Kigali, arriving in the late evening. If needed, catch your scheduled flight home.
