This unique 4-day Gorilla Habituation Experience Safari is a premier wildlife adventure. Go beyond standard trekking by participating in the habituation process over two full days in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, working alongside trackers and researchers.

Your adventure begins upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where your Muganzi Safaris guide will warmly welcome you. Depending on your flight schedule, we can arrange a brief tour of Entebbe or we will immediately begin our scenic journey southwest.
The road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is an experience in itself, winding through lush hills, vibrant local villages, and verdant tea plantations. Alternatively, for those preferring to minimize travel time, a domestic flight to Kisoro airstrip can be arranged (at an additional cost). We’ll arrive at our lodge in the late afternoon, allowing you to settle in and breathe the fresh, cool air of the forest. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner and a comprehensive briefing from your guide about the incredible days ahead.
Rise early for a hearty breakfast, filled with anticipation. We drive to the park headquarters to meet the dedicated team of researchers and rangers. After a detailed briefing on gorilla etiquette and the day’s objectives, our trek begins.
Venturing into the dense, ancient rainforest, we follow the expert trackers. The hike can be challenging but is immensely rewarding. Once we locate the gorilla family undergoing habituation, the magic unfolds. You will spend the next four hours quietly observing their daily life—watching them forage, play, groom, and nurture their young. We’ll enjoy a packed lunch in the forest, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. This is a full day of learning and wonder, returning to the lodge in the late afternoon, exhilarated and humbled.
After breakfast, we return to the park headquarters with a sense of familiarity and excitement. Rejoining our tracking team, we head back into the forest to find the same gorilla family.
This second day offers a chance to build on yesterday’s observations. You’ll notice individual personalities and understand their social dynamics more deeply. Witnessing consistent behaviors over two days provides a richer, more complete understanding of these complex animals. After another fulfilling four-hour observation session, we trek back to the lodge. Share stories and photos with your group over a well-deserved dinner, reflecting on a truly unique wildlife experience.
Enjoy a final breakfast with views of the misty forest. We then begin our journey back to Entebbe. The scenic drive allows for quiet reflection on the transformative experience you’ve had. We will stop for lunch en route.
Upon arrival in Entebbe, we will transfer you directly to the airport for your international departure flight, filled with incredible memories and a renewed passion for wildlife conservation.
