Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kampala to Kibale Forest

After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala. Begin your journey to Fort Portal, a charming town in western Uganda surrounded by rolling hills and crater lakes.

Enjoy lunch in Fort Portal before continuing to Kibale Forest National Park, home to the world’s highest concentration of chimpanzees.
Spend the night at your selected lodge:

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale & Drive to Bwindi

After an early breakfast, head to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking. With an experienced ranger, venture into the forest to locate and observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

Watch them feed, play, and swing through the trees. The experience lasts about 2–3 hours.

After tracking, have lunch and drive south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrive in the evening and relax at your lodge:

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today is the highlight of your safari! After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing.

With your ranger guide, enter the dense rainforest to search for a mountain gorilla family. The trek can last from 1 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements.

Once found, spend one magical hour observing them up close — a life-changing encounter you’ll never forget.

After the trek, return to your lodge for relaxation and an evening at leisure.

Day 4: Return to Kampala or Kigali

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala or continue to Kigali, Rwanda via the Cyanika Border. Arrive in the afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.

Your safari ends with unforgettable memories of Uganda’s primates and beautiful landscapes.
