Detailed 8 Days Uganda Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala or Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park
Your safari guide will pick you up early from your hotel or residence in Kampala or Entebbe. Enjoy a scenic drive (approx. 5–6 hours) through rolling hills, tea plantations, and local villages en route to Kibale Forest National Park. Arrive in time for lunch and relaxation at your chosen lodge.
After breakfast, set out for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experiencein Kibale Forest — home to over 1,500 chimpanzees. After the briefing, venture into the forest with your guide and spend an unforgettable hour observing these playful primates.
After lunch, take a guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, famous for birds like the Great Blue Turaco and colorful sunbirds, as well as monkeys and butterflies.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Evening Game Drive
After a relaxed breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park (3–4 hours). Arrive in time for lunch, then head for an evening game drive through the Kasenyi plains — home to elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and beautiful savannah birds.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Start your day with a morning game drive through the Kasenyi area to spot lions, leopards, elephants, and Uganda kobs. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species up close.

Day 5: Game Drive in Ishasha Sector & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, drive to the Ishasha sector in southern Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions. After a picnic lunch, continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Enjoy an early breakfast and head to the park headquarters for agorilla trekking briefing. In groups of up to eight people, you’ll be guided into the forest in search of your assigned gorilla family. The trek can take 2–6 hours depending on their location.
Once you find the gorillas, spend one magical hour watching them feed, play, and interact — a truly life-changing experience. Later, return to your lodge to relax.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park & Evening Game Drive
Depart Bwindi after breakfast for Lake Mburo National Park (approx. 5–6 hours). Arrive in time for lunch, then embark on an evening game drive to spot zebras, impalas, elands, and topis. Bird lovers can watch for the Bateleur, Grey Crowned Crane, and Rufous Bellied Heron.
Day 8: Nature Walk & Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe
After breakfast, take a guided nature walk through Lake Mburo National Park — one of Uganda’s few parks where walking safaris are allowed. Spot zebras and antelopes up close as you enjoy the calm of the savannah.
After lunch, drive back to Kampala or Entebbe for your evening drop-off or flight connection.
