Day 1: Journey to the Primate Capital

 

Your adventure begins as your Muganzi Safaris guide meets you in Kampala. We journey west through vibrant countryside and rolling hills to Kibale Forest National Park, renowned as Africa’s primate capital. Enjoy lunch in Fort Portal before continuing to your lodge nestled near serene crater lakes. Settle in and listen to the sounds of the jungle, anticipating tomorrow’s primate encounters.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth

 

After breakfast, venture into Kibale Forest for your chimpanzee tracking experience. Follow expert guides through dense rainforest to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. Watch them feed, play, and swing through the canopy – an unforgettable encounter.

After lunch, journey south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains and picturesque crater lakes along the way.

Day 3: Wildlife Wonders of Queen Elizabeth

Return to camp for lunch before embarking on a afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This relaxing safari offers exceptional hippo viewing, crocodile sightings, and abundant birdlife.

Watch the landscape transform from savanna to misty mountains as we approach gorilla territory.

Day 5: Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience

This is the day you’ve been waiting for! After an early breakfast and briefing, begin your mountain gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The hike through dense vegetation leads to an unforgettable hour observing a habituated gorilla family in their natural habitat – a truly life-changing experience.

After receiving your trekking certificate, transfer to beautiful Lake Bunyonyi for well-deserved relaxation.

Day 6: Scenic Return Journey
