Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Meet our driver-guide on arrival. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a brief tour of Kampala or Entebbe visiting Kasubi Tombs, Uganda Museum, and Lake Victoria.
Overnight: Sheraton Hotel / Cassia Lodge / Holiday Express Hotel

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Drive to Murchison Falls via Luwero and Masindi. Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Continue to the park and visit the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile explodes through a 7-meter gorge.
Overnight: Paraa Safari Lodge / Sambiya River Lodge / Red Chilli Camp

Day 3: Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise

Early morning game drive to spot elephants, lions, leopards, and buffaloes. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Albert Nile to see crocodiles, hippos, and colorful birds.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, travel to Kibale Forest, the primate capital of East Africa. Enjoy scenic views of tea plantations and the Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk

Join a guided trek to find chimpanzees and other primates in Kibale Forest. Later, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for birdwatching and cultural encounters.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying views of the Rwenzori ranges and an en-route game drive.
Overnight: Mweya Safari Lodge / Hippo Hill Camp / Simba Safari Camp

Day 7: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Cruise

Morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains to spot elephants, lions, leopards, and kobs. Afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, home to hippos, crocodiles, and water birds.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Optional early game drive or chimp tracking in Kyambura Gorge. Continue via the Ishasha sector, known for tree-climbing lions.
Overnight: Gorilla Forest Camp / Buhoma Lodge / Buhoma Community Bandas

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After briefing, enter the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to track the endangered mountain gorillas. Spend one magical hour with them before returning to the lodge.

Day 10: Transfer to Kabale & Lake Bunyonyi

Drive to Kabale, known as the Switzerland of Africa, and proceed to Lake Bunyonyi. Enjoy the tranquil scenery.
Overnight: Arcadia Cottages / Bushara Island Camp / Bunyonyi Overland Camp

Day 11: Explore Lake Bunyonyi

Take a boat tour to different islands, each with unique birdlife and cultural stories. Visit local communities, including the Batwa (Pygmy) villages.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Drive to Lake Mburo National Park, the only park with zebras and impalas. Enjoy a game drive through the Nshara gate.
Overnight: Mihingo Lodge / Mantana Camp / Rwonyo Campsite

Day 13: Game Drive & Boat Ride on Lake Mburo

Early morning game drive followed by a boat ride on Lake Mburo to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birds including the rare shoebill stork.

Day 14: Return to Kampala

After breakfast, take a nature walk in Rubanga Forest, then drive back to Kampala. Stop at the Equator for photos and at Mpambire Drum Village before drop-off in Kampala or Entebbe.
