Day 1: Arrival & Kampala City Tour

 

Touch down at Entebbe International Airport, where your Muganzi Safaris guide welcomes you. Day 2: North to the Mighty Murchison Falls

 

After breakfast, we journey northwest. En route, we stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided trek on foot to see the endangered white rhino—a fantastic start to your wildlife viewing. We continue to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in time to relax and soak in the savanna atmosphere.

Day 3: Game Drives & The Nile Boat Cruise

 

 

An early morning game drive reveals the park’s treasures: elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, and vast herds of antelope. In the afternoon, we switch perspectives for a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile. This journey to the base of the falls offers incredible close-up views of hippos, crocodiles, and elephants. We then take a short, rewarding hike to the “Top of the Falls” to feel the thunderous spray.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking & Lake Katwe

In the afternoon, we visit the Lake Katwe salt works to see traditional salt mining methods, a fascinating glimpse into local industry.

Day 7: To Bwindi via the Tree-Climbing Lions of Ishasha

 

We journey south towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Our route takes us through the Ishasha sector, renowned for its unique population of tree-climbing lions. We’ll embark on a game drive here, scanning the fig trees for these elusive cats. We then continue to the highlands, arriving at our lodge on the edge of the ancient forest.

Day 8: The Ultimate Adventure – Gorilla Trekking
