Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Gulu
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our professional safari guide who will brief you about your upcoming adventure. Begin your scenic drive northwards through Uganda’s countryside, enjoying views of rolling hills, farmlands, and traditional homesteads.
You’ll have a stop for lunch en route and later continue to Gulu town for dinner and overnight — a perfect rest stop before heading to Kidepo the next day.

Day 2: Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park
After breakfast, continue your journey to Kidepo Valley National Park, one of Africa’s most spectacular and least-explored safari destinations. Enjoy breathtaking views of the savannah, distant hills, and Karamojong villages along the way.
Upon arrival, check into your lodge, enjoy lunch, and prepare for your first evening game drive, where you may spot giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions, and buffaloes against a beautiful sunset backdrop.

Day 3: Morning and Afternoon Game Drives in Kidepo
Today is dedicated to exploring Kidepo’s abundant wildlife. After an early breakfast, head out for a morning game drive across the park’s open plains — a paradise for photographers and wildlife lovers alike. Watch for cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and herds of buffaloes roaming freely.
Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation, then set off for another afternoon game drive in the Narus Valley, where permanent water sources attract large concentrations of animals and colorful bird species like ostriches and eagles.

Day 4: Game Drive to Kanangorok Hot Springs & Cultural Experience
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the Kanangorok Hot Springs located near the Sudanese border. The journey offers a chance to see more wildlife and learn about the local legends surrounding the springs.
In the afternoon, immerse yourself in a cultural experience with the Karamojong community. Visit their traditional “manyatta” homesteads, learn about their cattle culture, polygamous traditions, and enjoy traditional songs and dances.

Day 5: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey southwards to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most iconic park. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of farmlands and local villages.
Upon arrival, check into your lodge, relax, and prepare for the exciting wildlife adventures ahead.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Cruise
Start your day with an early game drive on the Buligi, Albert, or Victoria tracks. Look out for elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and many antelope species as the savannah comes alive with the sunrise.
After lunch, enjoy a thrilling boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge to create the most powerful waterfall in the world. Watch for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and colorful birdlife along the riverbanks.
Optional: Hike to the top of the falls for panoramic views and great photo moments.

Day 7: Nile Delta Boat Cruise & Community Visit
Enjoy breakfast, then embark on a Nile Delta boat cruise — a serene trip through papyrus-filled channels toward Lake Albert. This area is excellent for birdwatching, and with luck, you may spot the elusive shoebill stork.
Later in the afternoon, visit a nearby local community such as Boomu Women’s Group or Mubako Village. Learn about traditional crafts, farming, and enjoy cultural performances showcasing Uganda’s heritage.

Day 8: Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Sanctuary & Return to Kampala
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary — the only place in Uganda where you can see wild rhinos. Enjoy a guided rhino tracking experience on foot, a memorable and safe encounter with these magnificent creatures.
Continue to Kampala or Entebbe for your evening flight, marking the end of your remarkable 8-day Uganda safari adventure.
